1st march: Surface unsigned stage 2 on Friday 28th May!

After a great set of fresh material at round 1 of the Surface Unsigned festival the boys are through to the next round at The Bridgehouse 2, Bidder Street, Canning Town, London, E16 4ST on 28th May. Tickets can be bought from the band for £7 a piece.

17th February: Surface Unsigned 26th Feb!

Don't forget to come down and support the boys at the Surface Unsigned festival round 1 on friday 26th Feb at The Boston Music Room in Tuffnell park. Audience and Judge votes will decide who goes through to the next round.

6th January: OnRoute Launch party 18th April.

High Child set to play OnRoute Launch party on 18th April at Liquid bar in Uxbridge, hosted by Tim westwood.

20th December: New Management

High Child are now under new management with OnRoute Entertainment.



26th October: High Child open the NFL Tailgate festival at Wembley!

High Child took to the stage at 11.15am to open the NFL Tailgate festival at Wembely. It is their biggest (and earliest) show to date. An estimated 20,000 people attended the festival for a day of live music and pre match build up. As if the Tailgate festival wasn't enough for a days work the band then headed over to the Uxbridge Festival where they blocked the streets with their strong performance on the 'On Route Entertainment' stage in the town center.

6th September: The boys take a disapointing second place at the Maidenhead Battle of the Bands Final.

After an energetic set at Heroes bar High Child unfortunately got second place at the Maidenhead Battle of the Bands Final by one vote.

23rd July: High Child are through to the final of the Maidenhead Battle of the Bands!

Another strong performance at Heroes Bar in Maidenhead has put High Child through to the final on 6th August where 1st prize will is £200 and a day in a local recording studio.

20th June: High Child track 'On The Way' is going to be used in Indie Film ' Avoiding Christian Bale'.

13th June: High Child Win Maidenhead Battle of the Bands 1st round!

After a great set in the first round of the Maidenhead Live Contest 2009 HIGH*CHILD went through to the semi finals on an audience vote. The semi final is set for 23rd July.



11th May: New Bassist.

High Child have added a new guitarist to the line up! Jewels (21) is due to play his first gigs with the band up in Liverpool at the end of the month.

25th April: High Child play the Cavern!

The boys have recently been booked in to play the world famous Cavern club in Liverpool where The Beatles began their career back in the early 60s. The shows are scheduled for 23rd and 24th May as part of the IPO festival. Check out Gigs for more details.

1st April: New Guitarist.

High Child have added a new guitarist to the line up! Jafar (22) is from North London and set to be on the new album this Summer will hopefully be ready for the summer shows.

20th March: High Child begin work on new album!

High Child have begun work on their second official album set for release this summer! The band say the album will have a much bigger sound with a darker feel. They will also be showcasing the new songs at their summer shows this year.

1st December: High Child in the top three unsigned artists of 2008!

17th November: New video section added to the website.

After numerous shows around London a new 'videos' section has now been added to the site where you can check out the boys playing live. This will be updated on a weekly basis so keep checking it out for new videos.

16th October: High*Child confirmed to play at Islington Academy Main Stage.

After a great performance at the Jar Music Group showcase in Islington last month, the boys have been invited back to play at the Islington Academy main stage on 23rd November. Advance tickets are £8.50 or £10 on the door. All those attending will receive a free copy of the bands debut album 'Yesterday Today'.

28th September: High Child take 3rd place!

After another great performance at the Battle of the Bands High Child came third winning a years supply of Tiger beer. Thanks to all those who attended.

14th September: High Child are through to the final!!

Another win at the Battle of the Bands semi final puts the boys through to the Final round on 28th September with a chance of winning £1000!!

25th August: High Child win battle of the bands in Covent Garden.

After a great performance at the Gardening Club Battle of the Bands on Sunday night, the band won first place and will now go through to the Semi final!

24th August: 'Yesterday Today' on sale now.

High Childs debut album 'Yestday Today' is now available to buy from the online 'shop'.

9th August: Edinburgh Sell Out!

After busking at the Edinburgh Fringe festival the band sold out of CDs after three days. If you didn't manage to get a copy then it will be available to buy from the on the official release date on 22nd August.

1st August: Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

The band will be Busking on the Royal Mile at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival from Monday 4th August til Saturday 9th August, where they will be selling their debut album 'Yesterday Today'. Make sure you go and check them out if you're near by.

26th July: Debut Album

HIGH*CHILD have now finished recording their Debut Album 'Yesterday Today' which is available to buy from their online 'shop' for £5.00 + postage, or it will be available to download from Itunes and Tune tribe soon. The band had previously recorded three demo CDs: 'New Direction'(2005), 'Tell It Like It Is!'(2006) and 'All You People'(2007). These demo CDs enabled the band to find their sound, and paved the way for their Debut Album. 'Yesterday Today' consists of 11 original tracks recorded at Sydner Studios in North London.

18th July: 'Battle of the Bands' Gig 24th August.

HIGH*CHILD have now confirmed they will be playing at a 'Battle of the Bands' night at the Gardening Club in Covent Garden on 24th August. It's free entry and it's the bank holiday weekend so come and check them out.

The Band's Showcase at the Islington Academy Bar has now been confirmed for the 22nd August. This will be the official launch of the band's Debut Album 'Yesterday Today'. Tickets can be bought on the door or at the Islington Academy Box Office. Information can be found in 'Gigs'.
